I first discovered "Punch Point"** embroidery needles at a craft fair when I was a little girl. I Loved it - it was so easy and the results were beautiful, but of course, being a kid, it was more of a passing phase. It wasn't until I found myself working for Lifetime Television, on an episode segment of a show called Handmade By Design, that I rediscovered the Punch Point needles. I was hooked once again!

My first "project" was for my Love who was on tour with Fame, The Musical. As a special opening night gift, I decided to make him a show jacket. He loved it & so did everyone else. It turned out so well, I started embroidering everything including his underwear briefs!
(Yes, he wears them--talk about true love!)

When I started working backstage on Broadway, I began creating my own designs for cast and crews of every show that came through the theatre. Each jacket is fashioned with details from the production itself, making them special and unique, and hopefully someday collectable!

**Punch needle embroidery is an old needle art that is worked through a fabric pattern stretched in an embroidery hoop, forming loops of threads on the side opposite the working surface to create a design. A special needle tool with a hollow core holds and feeds the thread as the needle is punched through the fabric, from back to font, to the same depth to create loops of even height.
